Multicache Config

The Multicache Config allows you to configure important parameters to multicache.  It works on a last saved state. You will find certain Global Configuration parameters repeated, this is done to bring about uniformity and conformance to the product as a whole. Lets take for example the parameter 'Cache Handler', you can choose to set it either from Joomla's Global Configuration or multicache config. If you do set different states, then only the last saved state will take preference.

You will therefore find it convenient, without having to cross check whether settings have taken shape.

Simulation Dashboard

AFter you configure multicache and cron it you can find the results of tests on the simulation dashboard. If you are configuring multicache for the first time, then it is advisable to pay attention to 'Expected End Date',  as it could grow to unwieldy durations, depending on how advanced multicache is configured. There are a couple of ways to decrease this duration as follows

  • Uncheck the 'Advanced Simulation' settings in Multicache's config tab titled multicache optimization
  • Narrow down the ranges for iterated tests in Testing Conditions and Parameters, the tab titled multicache optimization
  • Reduce testing cycles to 1
  • Get more credits for tests.

At the outset the Multicache Simulation Dashboard features a Global stat which display basic statistics of tests conducted. On the left side bar are filters that enable you to focus on your result sets. You will find that the Global stat changes to adhere to the filtered data set. Further you will also find an active filters status on the stat that serves as an indicator as to the type of test results being furnished below.

The url analyzer allows you to have granular information of the pages culled from Google Analytics and thereby manage the pages being stored on memcache. Both Google and manual results are tabulated. Here you may choose to remove or add a url.

The url is furnished along with its Google statistic views and derived parameters of frequency distribution and natural logarithms, to help you understand the importance of a page on your site and systematize its related server load.

Group Cache

The Group Cache menu allows you to view cache groups segregated as to whether they sit on memcache or file cache further subdivided into site and admin sections. This screen allows you to clean cache by group or clean cache as a whole. It also allows you to view important statistics made available though Multicache and sort through cache item headers basis cache group , number of files or size.

Page Cache

The Page Cache menu features a page inspector that allows you to peep into the contents of web pages stored in memcache in both serialized code and html manifestation modes. It also allows you to manually invalidate pages.
